Been watching the DL speed drop further and further since I got home. Ping is under 20ms, upload speed is normal, download speeds dropping under .5Mbps. (Not torrenting or doing anything shady. Just trying to get some fucking work done. I hate these guys.)

My family gets really good connection because someone works for them, they say it's good, it's no faster than any where else and drops out every once and a while. I don't think any other provider is any better.

They've been horrible since I came back to Austin in October. They were fine before I left, never had a complaint. Now like every week with this bullshit. And it's also bullshit that if someone works for them, they get a good connection. If you pay for it, you should get what you pay for.

Weird, mine is the opposite. Average download speed is in the high teens, upload is 0.5 or so.

We used the have Time Warner, then we moved and got Charter, which wasn't much better. Eventually we switched to AT&T U-Verse and have seen a massive improvement. We always get the speed we pay for, if not a little better, and I don't think it's dropped out once in the year we've had it. The worse that happens is we have to restart the primary router once every few months.
